Happy Hollandaise

Blogged under News by Kenlow on Thursday 22 December 2005 at 5:52 pm

‘Hollandaise’ sounds like ‘holidays’. I like a good hollandaise sauce. Especially on some asparagus. Mmmm.

It is the holiday season and I love it. I’m a Christmas celebrater, myself… but I love this time of year because everyone’s got something to celebrate. No matter what you believe, it’s about love. And I love love. Don’t you?

I am singing at the church I grew up in on Sunday, Christmas Day. I still am not sure what I will be singing… (oops), but I know what the song will be about :)

I hope that each and every one of you feels some love this holiday season.

I wish you happy asparagus with hollandaise.

DJ Zebra - Can You Touch Me

Blogged under News by Lenlow on Saturday 10 December 2005 at 5:46 pm

Announcing… a new chooooooooon!

The great Parisian bootlegger and disc jockey extroardinaire DJ Zebra has created a mashup using some new vocals from Katie. He took the music from Supergrass’s “St. Petersburg” and had Katie sing “Can You Touch Me” by The Film. The result is this lovely little number: DJ Zebra - Can You Touch Me. I’m diggin’ bigtime the harmony in the second verse.

DJ Zebra writes “The Film love it, and i sent it to Supergrass management.”
Hooray!

A Gift for You

Blogged under News by Lenlow on Saturday 3 December 2005 at 6:11 pm

Howdy howdy howdy! Ooh this is exciting–Katie’s own site. Thanks Dan for your assistance and… motivation. My website is jealous of how easy it is to manage this website.

Well I have a news item… I think I’ll put it in the “news” section, eh? Anyway, as a special gift for our readers, help yourselves to this compilation of Christmas-themed mashups: Santastic! Various esteemed members of the GYBO community have contributed, including Katie. She teamed up with talented Ohioan Aggro1 to make the dark and gloomy “Deck the Halls”, revisiting the spoken-word style from her “Push the Button” recording. Perhaps because she had a cold.

Oh and I’ll try to get Katie’s a capella downloads back online soon. T’internet is a harsh mistress, you see.

Present!

So this is exciting… the whole project is still in the womb, little kicks here and there, but I am really looking forward to the process as well as the product. Big ups to my brother Lenlow and Danimal for their help and enthusiasm. Honestly couldn’t do it without them.

Come to think of it, the “Couldn’t Do It Without…” list will only grow. It’ll be massive by the time this all over. I’m humbled by the thought of it.

You’ll be hearing a lot more from me once things get under way with the recordings and such. Thanks for stopping by….. here’s hoping the end product isn’t crap!

just kidding!

*love*
